Abstract
The masticatory efficiency on 47 subjects of normal control group and 24 subjects of class )8 malocclusion group according to Angle¢¥s classification were tested comparatively and obtained following results.
1) The masticatory efficiency of malocclusion subject was lower than that of the normal control subject.
2) The efficiency of the unilateral mastication was lower mostly than that of the bilateral mastication.
3) It was the same both normal control subject and malocclusion subject that if in the case of the masticatory stroke was increased also the masticatory efficiency was increased.
4) The masticatory efficiency of normal control subject was little uniform for the mytsticatory efficiency of malocclusion subject in each side and the number of masticatory stroke.
